Sisters Noir is a website all about actresses and their roles in cinema, old and new. Throughout these pages I hope to look at different female film roles including the heroine and femme fatale.

Each actress will be presented alonside her notable appearances in cinema which will be listed and discussed. Sisters Noir will initially be about the features, however, which will be posted regularly on the features page.

Sisters Noir is also intended to be built upon with what you, the user would like to see, so if you know of any good films with notable female roles which you believe should be listed, please contact me for consideration. It would also be really helpful if you could provide movie stills captured with the fantastic VLC player. Eventually the site may well take the "Noir" side of things to the fore, with a firm focus on film noir. It will also featue classic filmstars like the following actresses in some of their best movies:
